On the 9th October, 16 members of the team turned up at the Hastings Direct building in Bexhill for a bit of an abseil. With very kind permission, Hastings Direct opened up the building to allow us to abseil 179 times down the 6 story building. This gave us an abseil height of 4321 meters, the height of Mt Elgon in Uganda. The Day was organised by one of our leaders - Dave Mercer, assisted by the Senlac Abseil Team and Sue Mercer.
Hopefully the day has raised a lot of money for the Uganda 2006 funds. |
